The seh-dari (literally “three-doored room”) is one of the most authentic architectural spaces found in historic Iranian homes from the Qajar era. Featuring three wooden door panels and colorful, latticed windows, this room was typically situated between the andaruni (private interior quarters) and the courtyard, serving as a sanctuary for relaxation, rest, and the daily life of the family.
In traditional Iranian homes, seh-dari rooms were generally located in the main section of the house, facing the central courtyard.
